Here's a partial list of some things I'll be bringing to the sale on Friday:

1. A complete 60 gallon AGA tank with stand and hood. Slightly used. In fact, the hood never came out of the box. Built-in bulkhead and plumbed.

2. A custom made 75 gallon bowfront/bowback tank with a matching stand. The stand and tank trim are black. Very cool looking tank. You won't find another like it.

3. A Coralife super skimmer

4. a wet/dry box with sump and bioballs

5. One Catalina 1800 pump

6. 12 gallon nanocube with heater and powerhead upgrade (slightly used) Comes with brand new bulb and a spare. Complete plug and play.

7. One Millenium 3000 hang on filter

8. Plenty of odds/ends I'm too lazy to list here.

I'm not going to tax my brain to price these items this moment. (sort of takes from the spirit of "garage sale"). Generally speaking, most everything will be priced at 1/2 or less of list price. The only PM I'll entertain before the sale on Friday is a trade for either a 175 or 250 watt metal halide pendant/bulb/electronic ballast for the 75 gallon tank and stand (with glass top).

sale on Friday

I was just curious to know if anyone would be interested in tank/stand set-ups on Friday. I have a trailer lined up. I don't want to haul a bunch of tanks, stands, hoods, etc... if no one is interested. Please chime in.

Its all about the price how much for the set ups??

I'll more than likely put 225 on the 65 gallon tank/stand/hood and decrease it 10 bucks each 15 minutes or so until it's sold (this tank retails for over 500 new). I'll do the same for the custom 75 bowfront/bowback but start at 265.00 (740 new)

I have a Berlin Red Sea with pump (I'm sitting in an airport and I can't remember which one) It's ugly, never been cleaned, pump may/may not work. I'll take a frag for it, or free if you have nothing to trade. PM me if you are interested.

walk to meeting

walk to meeting

Will the walk to the meeting be the same as the Fragathon last month? I'm planning on hauling some very heavy, bulky things. Would be great if the Zoo might loan us a gator utility vehicle or golf cart to run some things from the parking lot to the aquatics building.

October 20th at the cleveland zoo in the primates building! 7:30 be there!
It will be a garage sale like last January's meeting--members can bring unwanted dry goods to sell. It seemed to be very popular last year--a chance to pick up some bargains and meet everyone.

This year is an added feature--the club will be selling off equipment that was donated to us by a local vendor that closed up shop in the late 90's. Three pickup truck/van loads of stuff that we are still sorting through. Lots of older ballasts (NO, VHO, MH), plumbing parts, RO unit filters, bioballs, acrylic pieces, base rock, etc. We are not exactly sure how we are going to handle this yet. I Members only sale, and I expect the prices will be very good. We may have to limit the amount any one individual can purchase (don't want to see a dozen ballasts on ebay the next day . . .). There is also a ~ 300g acrylic tank, used but in good condition, that we will be likely auctioning off.
All are welcome to come take part in the savings. If you've got something you'd like to sell post it here and maybe you'll gets some bites on it before the meeting. Hope to see lots of new faces
Erik
Check the website for directions. www.c-sea.org

Eric, three van/pickup loads i more than few items....

Update on C-SEA items for the swap:

The now defunct InnerSpace Aquatics donated a large amount of equipment to C-SEA this summer. This equipment dates to the late 1990's. There were 3 van/truck loads of equipment, and I have just gone through the 1/3 that I have been storing.

26 RO sediment filters

PVC fittings (lots!):
1/2 and 3/4 inch ball valves
elbows & elbow adaptors of various sizes (screw, slip, barbed)
adaptors (screw, slip, barbed)
overflow strainers (3/4" and 1 1/2")

Lighting:
Ballasts: now these are old . . . Magnateks. There are NO, HO, VHO, and 175 & 250W MH ballasts. There are also some labelled Bare Bones MH ballasts--can't tell what type. These are heavy! If you plan on buying more than one bring a luggage cart or similar to carry them back to your car!

Wiring harnesses, clips, sockets, etc.

One Pro-Arc 175W 5000K MH bulb

Acrylic:
There are nine acrylic tubes, from 4" to 8" in diameter, 1 to 3 feet in length. Most are in the process of being turned into skimmers or reactors, ie they are mounted on bases, have holes drilled, etc. Thinking of building your own reactor? These would be great!

And that's just a third of the loot. I've also seen dry base rock, sand, VHO bulbs, and bioballs. I'll try to see what Chuck is bringing.

Not sure what the prices will be, but they will be priced to move (in other words I don't want to take anything home!).

Bring cash! Bring boxes! Bring carts!

Meeting site: yes, we are in the aquatics building again. Unfortunately the zoo is using the educational building.

Now, for the stuff I am bringing:

SCWD--new in box. $20
Loc-line pieces, new
4" fan--used but in good condition. $8

*Geo Kalwasser reactor--new $160
*ASM G3 skimmer + Sedra 7000--new $260
* I'll probably only bring these with me if someone is interested and contacts me via PM prior to tomorrow night. Otherwise they'll go up on ebay.

55gallon stand, walnut colored pine, All Glass/Perfecto. Needs to be refinished. FREE TO GOOD HOME (in other words get it out of my basement!). I'll only bring this if someone contacts me first, and only if there is room in the van after loading all the C-SEA stuff.

Carole (C-SEA vice president)
