Huge news on the meeting Saturday!!!
I have made pretty good friends with a gentleman named Michael who manages the store Saltwater Paradise in Irving, TX. The store is about a mile from my apartment, so I visit often and have really grown very fond of the store. Anyhow, Saltwater Paradise has a web storefront that you have possibly heard about -
Extreme Corals. Extreme Corals official shares a seperate section in the store for corals being sold on the website. They have one of the most impressive systems I have ever seen, including roof mounted chiller and light vents, and an AMAZING surge device setup on a 30x4 foot fiberglass tank. (it's ran by a Reeflo pump)
Those details are for another thread, however. (Seriously, I'd like to do a photo essay thread on the setup they have there. I'll have to see if they'll let me take and post some pics.
Anyhow... As I have talked with Michael, I have discovered him to be one of the most knowledgable marine aquarists that I have ever met. He has an amazing knowledge of corals, fish, and so on and so forth. He has also worked with the DWA in Dallas.
And when I told him about COMAS and the great programs we have going on, he really wanted to visit us at a meeting. So he's coming this Saturday.
But the reason
you REALLY want to come???
Free Corals!!!
Yep, that's it. He offered to bring a "box of corals" to giveaway a door prizes or whatever. Now, I don't know if this will be a big or small box and exactly how many there will be. But based on what I have seen, there should be some really nice ones in there.
So come to the meeting - you won't regret it. And check out their site, buy something, and say a big thank you to the newest COMAS sponsor (Extreme Corals).
