First of all, I would like to thank everyone who voted for me especially MR. Chingchai who encouraged me to submit my tank. I start this thread because ReeferChick85 asked me to do.

Coral: Mushrooms, Zoas, Xenias, GSP, Acan, few SPS, Green Bubble (Just got it for 3 weeks)

Maintenance

Water Changes: I do a water change of 1.5 gallons on a weekly basis. I try to clean the tank every time I do a water change.

Salt: Oceanic mixed to 1.025

Additives: None.

Testing: I have never ever tested anything in this tank except the specific gravity. Not something I would recommend other to do but it is due to my laziness.

Feeding: I only feed my cherub and pom pom crab with Hikari Marine S once or twice a day.

Top off: Toping off evaporated water is done by hand daily.

As I believe that the simplicity is the best which always been said by MR. Chingchai, so I try to keep everything as simple as possible. And one last thing, be patient with this hobby and you will have everything you want.

Here is how the tank has been progressed

Yay!! Finally haha!! Very beautiful tank!! The progress pics are awesome. It has come a long way! Nicely done! :) That pink yuma is sooo pretty! What are those zoas you have pictured last? Are those the hornet ones?I like it! Sorry I'm not good with names just types lol ;)

Nice job on the thread. I'm glad you made one and I hope we all can put everything in the past and move on!! Congratulations again to you parishilton!!

What a lovely tank! Can you please provide more information on your lighting setup? What metal halide bulb are you using? WHat else ar you using to light up your reef? The reason i'm asking is because, most 20K halide bulbs look very blue. Your reef looks sort of pink/purple. I had this colour effect on my firs nano tank which used to be lit by Fluoro T8 tubes. So I am very interested in the exact details of the light. Maybe I will order the same halide bulb as I like it so much.

Many thanks in advance for the info and well done!

First, I started with 2x11w pl light but for a certain period of time, it seemed that was not sufficient. So I switched to MH but still keeping the Red/Blue one because I like the pink look.

The metal halide bulb I am using came with the lighting fixture. It is solarmax bulb single ended 150 watt. The reason the tank looks pink because I also use
11w PL light which is 50/50 of red and blue. The PL light is what you guys call PC here, I think. I am thinking about modify my fixture so I can use double ended bulb. I may change the bulb to 150w Phoenix Blue.

Beautiful tank... Congrats..

Thank you.

love it but such a small tank for an angel :(

Thank you. I know but

cool light

Thank you.

Congratulations

Thank you krub.

Absolutely gorgeous! What's your Mg,Ca and Alk levels? Just kidding, i read through...:-)

Sorry about that. Also the reason I do not test an parameter because it is a very small tank. I do not want to take any risk by dosing something in. If something goes wrong, I will just do a water change. I think that is more than enough for such a small tank.

Thank you for the compliment
