octopus NW 150 question

I just set up my new octopus NW 150 about 48 hours ago and I'm still not getting any skim in the collection cup.... It's in about 9" of water in my sump. How high to put the ajustable return? I don't know if that will make it run better..... It has been a while sense I bought a new skimmer and needed to update. any help would be great.....

Give it some time to break in.

no fish just corals... fighting HA problem so I took out my fish so I don't have to feed them and add more unwanted nutrients to the tank. I figured it would be awhile for it to break in.

try raising the tube up a little. Skimmers can take 3-5 days to break in so dont worry it will skim. I have a nw150 and love it. Make sure sg is toward the higher end

I might be dumb about this, but what is "sg"? .... first time on these boards.... not down with all the lingo....lol

sg = specific gravity, basically increase the salinity
