Octopus Recirc Needlewheel 150

I am thinking on getting a recirculating 150 for my 60 gallon tank.

- Any opinions about it?
- Suggested mods?
- What is the best pump for it?

I have been considering an Octopus Recirc NW-200 for my new 90 tank. Everything I have read makes me believe it is very good deal for the price. Also, with very long Mod thread for the Octopus skimmers here on RC getting help with Mods shouldn't be a problem!

Get a DAS or Orca from Orca (protein-skimmer.com) prices are similiar and much better

I was thinking the same thing... then chose the DAS EX-1

I bought a Octopus NW150 for my 50G. I am using a 20H sump and it is way too much, microbubbles in the display tank like mad.
Even with a 50 micron bag on its output.

I would not recommend this skimmer for anything shorter than a 6 foot sump.

I have this skimmer in my 20g sump. the unit settle after a week. no microbubbles in the display.
Do you have bubble traps in the sump. I cleaned my unit with vingar. Works great.
