Alright I'll go on friday and pick some up, and if i can make it to the post office in time to drop it off, it will go out friday if not saturday. All who want pm me. and on friday, i will go get envelopes and we'll call it 5$ for 3 3x3 peices. or enough to make 3 layers(that fair?). I'll do it on my pump and give it an extra inch so you guys can trim to fit your pumps.

p.s. i'm also getting zipties for this on friday too, so i'll get a big bag of em. and count how many i use and pack em w/ as many people that request till i run out. make things a little easier.

You guys should keep any transactions to pms so this thread doesn't get shut down.

I don't think superglue would hold for the long term. I'm sure the mesh moves a little in the volute due to resistance from the water. That moving back and forth would weaken the glue IMO.

you dont need to use zip ties. Use fishing line. Ive been playing with the enkemat, for now the best setup Ive used is 3 layers of enkemat and a layer of gutterguard to hold it to the remaining paddle.

Yeah, first I took off both paddles. I took one and used it as a guide on how to cut it up into circles the same size as the paddles. I cut three of these circles. I did the same thing with one layer of gutterguard. Then I got the three layers of enkemat and one of gg and sandwiched it on to the paddle. So it would go, paddle then 3 layers of enkemat and then a layer of gg. I then intertwinned the fishing line in and out of the layers. After it was sewn on and tied, I cut out the middle section so I can put the paddle back on the impeller. One thing I havent compared is if makes a difference if the paddle should have the needles pointed foward or back. Im not sure it would make a difference but its something to thing about. Might want to try it out.... maybe next time I take it apart to play with it, I might be inspired to want to redo the mesh

So has anyone managed to cram 3 layers of PF-4 in the OTP-3000?

I have 2 in there now and it is working good I just wonder if the other layer would fit?

No problem. Also I used fishing wire to attach the layers on. It might be a little better for space than zip ties.

I crammed 4 on there at first it was WAY too much of the pf4. dropped it down to 3 and still did some trimming. none the less. i got tired of playing w/ it, i plug in my pump and honestly it doesnt start up until i blow in the venturi tube then it kicks on. I'm going to work on it some more tom'r. not sure what it is thats stopping it from going initially it pumps water but takes a push for the venturi to get going. as for how it works. its absolutely incredible how many and much more bubbles i get now as well as how fine they are. massive improvement. the foam coming out is so much thicker.

nw200 running for 5 days now and no skimmate yet. Could this indicate a problem? Water level is set just below the skimmer cup union. My RS was pulling tons of scum so I know the water is ready to be skimmed.

Thanks

to be honest, my skimmer wasn't pulling much either when i first got it, it has to break in a good bit. takes a little bit of time. I am still not fully broken in yet, atleast i hope not... haha but it has been getting better everyday for the last few days.

Thanks.

I'll keep waiting then. Foam hasn't made it to the top of the neck yet.

It must be pulling a lot of air because I noticed that my evaporation rate on the tank has increased about a gallon a day since adding the skimmer.
