i am finding alot of different foot print sizes...some say 8x14 some say 10x15 and some say 23 inched high some say 25. Can anyone set me strait and are there 2 different 200 models?

thanks all

I have the nw200 on my 210 and love it.They are better than the asm and cheaper, but better made. And from what i found out from my research on these boards about the 2 brands people seem to prefer the octo skimmers over the asm.

i use a octo nw200 on my 90g. and i love it!!! most definitely better then the ASM's. As for the footprints. yes there is 2 models. you have the regular in sump model, and the recir model which is taller and a larger footprint. I believe mine is 23" tall, i have 24" of clearance under my tank. so i know it is somewhere between 23 and 23.5" tall. u need maybe a 1/4" clearance to remove the cup with the disconnect neck, simply twist left and left the union up, and slide the cup to the left or right and remove.

the new nw200 model actually no longer has the union neck. it is simply just lift cup up and take off, very user friendly, haha. the newer model also has improved pump elbow and air intake. I got one a few weeks ago and the scum it pulls out is simply just gross! you can't beat it for the price! do the meshmod and it is more like a $400 skimmer

Ive had my nw150 on my 55 for a month now and it works great, without any mods too. Just let it break in and after a few days it will pull out some really nasty stuff.
