I have a quick question for all of you guys...!!!

I have a 750 Reef proyect for next year and i am gonna aneed a good conttroler but i dont know anything about them !!

I heard these are the best ones in the market

OCTOPUS 3000
AQUATRONICA
NEPTUNE A3

Any thoughts???:bum:

i know that the aquatronica has alot in development as far as monitering more than ph ozone and calc and temp, from what ive found. im not really sure but i was searching them for a while and they just seemed like glorified ph wavemakers with ph ozone and temp controllers. the aquatronica seemed like the one with the most development and features. maybe someone else will chime in that has more experience with them, but my vote is for the aquatronica.

I run the AC III pro and it does everything I want: Controls, monitors, alarms, remote monitoring/control, historical trends, expandable. I use it to montor pH, Temp and ORP (DO and conductivity capable). It can control almost any device. The programming is simple. Built in webserver included. Really a great system with almost zero problems so far. Aquatronica seems like a good device as well. They have some things in development or just released that the AC III already has. The AC III is made here in the U.S. and support is a phone call or PM away. The Aquatronica is Italian. I have lived in Italy and had an Italian LFS say he does not like Italian products (he liked German stuff). But that was just a funny story, but I agree with him to a point. Everything was always "Domani! Domani!" They sure can make some good cheese and wine ;)

I think either one would be a good choice in the end. I just do not have any experience with the Aquatronica. The aquarium obsessed forum may have some really good feedback on it: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=434

Here is the Neptune forum for more info:http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=368

I would do a side by side comparison of the features of each along with taking customer service and feedback into account.

I have no information about the Octopuss controller and there seems to be little out there.

Good luck,
Jacob

I've been looking at controllers as well, It seems to me alot of them have a ton of what I consider to be bells and whistles. basically I just want, Orp, Ph, Temp, and the ability to log that data so I can review, are there any barebones systems that do just that. I don't really care about wavemakers, or moonlights ect.
