Odd Clown behaviour - about to spawn?

I've had a pair of False percs for almost 2 years now. They have been through multiple house and tank moves, as well as losing two anemones (one due to powerhead mishap, the second due to mysterious death (it was the replacement to RBTA number one and 90% of all the RBTAs in that LFS's shipment died)).

They have been hosting their third RBTA for about a month now.

They have started doing a couple things that I've never wseen them do before;

biting at the rock around the anemone and sucking in the anemones tentacles and blowing them out, aggravating it a fair bit I think.

Anyone seen this before and know what it's all about?

Thanks.

I have my answer - there's eggs on the rock they were cleaning.

They continue to nip the anemone - i think they want to move it out of the way. If it was fully expanded on that side I guess that its tentacles could pretty easily pickup those eggs.

I think ( might have to get involved and move the rock that the anemone is on or the clows will continue to torment it.

I wouldn't move anything...obviously they were comfortable enough to spawn there so they're not too worried about it. It's fairly common for clowns to nip at an anemones tentacles.

Congrats on your spawn! I'm still waiting somewhat patiently for mine :D

This nem is usually huge, but the clowns have nipped him so much near the eggs that he's totally deflated.

Very nice pic. I wouldn't worry about it. My clowns nip back the edge of my Haddoni when they have eggs. They've been doing it for about 10 months now with no ill effects. I wouldn't change a thing.
