odd feather duster id

What is the vase shaped thing on the end of the stalk? It shares the same tube with the feather duster, retracts at the exact same time, and is the same color. Those facts lead me to assume that it is one animal.

That's the part that plugs the tube when it retracts

Does anyone know what the white pocket in the upper right of the center of the image is? It looks like it could be a small sponge, or a tunicate.
