Hi

1- On the tunze stream pumps
Is there a design hour rating on these pumps
How many hours of service are they designed to give?
Before they need to be replaced if you provided the proper maintenance
What is the proper maintenance for the stream pumps?
This may be odd, but I am trying to find a break even point
With what my cost of electric kw/hr
With a different product
Premium pump ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“premium price
Questionable pump- cheaper price

2- Wave box
On a 96 x 48 x 36 tank would a single wave box
Provide enough water movement for a mixed reef setup
Are there any design solutions to quit the overflow noise from the wave box wave?
How high would the wave be?
Can two be linked together?

I am in the planning stages for the large tank setup
For my new house I will be moving into next year
Any suggestion would be greatly welcomed

Thanks
Ken

The Stream is based on technology we have offered for over 10 years and seeing as I occassionally get in pumps that are 10+ years old for repair I would say they can last a very long time and if anything they have improved as plastic technologies have improved and become more affordable allowing us to use the most modern low friction plastics. You will have to buy a new drive unit (impeller magnet and bearings) every couple years on average, they cost about $30. The most expensive repairs are electronic failures, if the circuitry gets wet it can cost over $90 to fix. That is the other big plus is every individual component is available.
