So I have an odell 55 gal. It says tempered on the bottom in the corner but I have no idea if the back glass is tempered. Can't seem to find any information on the web about it. Can anyone help me out here?
Polarized lenses are what you need. Hold one lens infront of the glass and one lens behind it then peer thru both. If it's tempered, you should see a grid pattern in the glass.
I worked for O'Dell in the early years of the company, to the best of my knowledge no tempered glass was used in the manufacturer of their tanks. All glass was float glass purchased from PPG Industries, however this is something that could have been changed for safety reasons in the last years of the company's existence. The tank you have could have had a pane replaced during it's lifetime. Hope this helps...

Hi, I'm looking for documentation on an O'Dell fish tank. Since you worked for the company, do you still have some catalogs? Or do you know who I could ask? Thanks in advance
Hi, I'm looking for any kind of documentation that could prove that the attached tanks are from O'Dell. Any vintage magazine, ad, catalog would do. I'll be happy to pay for a scan of it! Thanks in advance.
