odyssea as expected

i got my 48" 760watt odyssea fixture in today and turned on and one of the mh wouldnt light up so i hooked it to the other ballast and came right on. smelled the ballast and it was fried. after waiting forever they send me a bad ballast! i guess i should of had some upgrades before it even got here.

that stinks about the ballast, but you could call and see if they will send you a new ballast while sending back the bad one.

Or better yet, consider it a sign and just get a new ballast with the money you saved. I did the same thing even though my ballast worked when I got it. The ballast didn't push a true 250w thru

I just got my fixture a week ago. Has been running flawlessly since. The ballasts fire every time. I tested mine, and they both pull 270w from the wall. I'd just call the company and see if they will send you a new ballast.

they are going to send me a new one after i send the old one back. if their pushing 270 i might keep them a while.

i have had mine running for 3+ years now,and the still work! but the workmanship sucks,i found loose connections inside

Thats good. I have no qualms with the light - even the light bulbs have a nice crisp blue to them - stock.
