I almost, want to use my nano for this, but don't want the monsters in the house.
It really needs to be done though and something that needs to be concentrated on rather than say......polyp extension, which when compared to issues like this seem trival.
Yeah, my standard is 2x, but if it's a sturdier coral or if I see anything that doesn't sit well, I up it to 3x. However, at 3x I don't normally leave them in for more than 8-10 minutes, vs. 15-20 minutes at 2x.

What if I only put fresh cut frags into my tank and give them a dip of either coral rx or tmpcc, would it be wise to still QT them? Is it true you have to treat your corals with interceptor and levimisole prior to putting them in the display tank? I heard someone doing all three which sounds like a great prevention, but could this stress the coral out too much?
Fresh cut frags with no plugs, a good visual inspection, a 6 to 12 hour dip in super strength interceptor (at least 5 x normal dosage) and a 10 to 15 min dip in TMPCC with an aggressive swirl to knock anything off is a good way to go if you don't have a QT IMO. Adding levamisole would be a good idea but may stress the coral more, so that's your call. I have had good luck with the TMPCC and interceptor.
