I cant seem to figure out how to post pics but in my gallery there are a couple of pics. Not the best quality since I had to shrink them to add to the gallery. They are far from being a hamster!, there lifespan is actually 5-10 years, which blows the doors off a hamsters life of about 2 years. They more resemble a chinchilla. They make awesome pets we have 4(plus litter of 5).

They look like gerbils. We just got 2 of those.

Gerbils, phewey. Again a lifespan of 3-5 and when they get sick there is almost always death soon. I'm telling ya if someone wants a pet for kids Degus are the way to go, they are very resilient to diseases if fed the proper diet. But enough about them this is a website for fish, just wanted to share our joy

Scott, This website is PRIMARILY for fish since that is most of our primary addiction but........ we ALL have other pets and/or interests. I like hearing about all of it! They sound cute. And raising baby ANYTHING is soooo much fun! Sue
