I tried this too, with the same results. I tried it with regular zoos, yellow polyps, and brown palys. Both would grow back if you cut it just above the base. Now we can frag zoos for friends and want have to loose any our self, :lol: .
I tried cutting one like a mushroom. I sliced it into 4 pieces but left it connected at the base. A week later it fused itself back together and almost 2 weeks after that it opened up. I was very surprised.
i have pictures of the aftermath, but none before the chaos, i could post them later.
Basically i remember a thread on this forum asking for someone to test it.
The ones i snipped close to the head of the polyp, seem to be living and the stalks are already forming new heads. I think overall its a safe method of sharing what you have with others.
Keep in mind i do dose a large dose (capful) of iodine right after fraggin to avoid infections. ill post pictures soon
