Just wanted to post some pics of my 2.5 at work

Cool little lay out. Have you though about getting one of the ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œinexpensiveââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ digital thermometers instead of the big floater at the back of the tank. A nice black faced one would blend nicely with the hood.

The good stuff stays home, I only made a work tank cause i had the filter, heater, blubs extra and laying around. I tried to keep the cost at a minimum since we don't have a lot of control over the office heat and i wasn't sure if stuff would survive.

Again, staying with budget of cheap, there is 2x 10w screw in compact florucents.

I have seen stuff grow with that. Looks like the stuff you have in there will be fine. Are you gonna go with any livestock?

what kind of filter is that.

I am all for the budget reefer. I am setting up the uber cheap pico as we speak

I only have crabs and snails to date, no fish for sure, maybe a shrimp in the future. the filter is a aquaclear 30 with only live rock rubble in the chamber

you can fit the Heater in the Aquaclear.. i have the same heater and it fit in my Aquaclear 20....
