Office Tank on a Whim - 3gal Picotope

The tank is still running, though after ~1.5-yrs I've found that it can be very hard to keep up with an office tank!! Holidays and work travel are especially taxing, as is just simply finding the time for regular maintenance. The tank has suffered for it, with water changes occurring every 1-2mo and glass cleanings at about the same interval. Everything inside has remained happy though. The 3-stripe damsel is still kickin (though is tiny for over a year old!) as are the zoas, GSP, and wagon wheel plate coral. I'll post up pics on my next WC, which should be coming up soon :)

Every office cube should have one of these!

Thanks!! :)

My dad used to work for a company that polished silicon wafers and had these all over his office.

Thats a nice little tank I would love to do something similar when I have an office of my own. Do you ever have issues with evaporation and fluctuating salinity over the weekends?

Thanks! And you called it right, those are all wafers with various devices my company has manufactured through the ages. They start with 3" from around the time I was born all the way through the 12" ones we manufacture today.

With the cover on it I've left it for 5-days with no ill effects. Open top I don't think this would be possible for longer than a weekend.

Hey thanks pm sent.

PM responded!! :)
