ok i decided to go with Wednesday the 19th for the delivery date.....it thats a good day for everyone, we'll keep that as the delivery date

Post what you need here...what you want to add on, delete, etc.....up until Friday the 14th ...to give me some time to finalize/check everything....order will be place sunday evening, the 16th.....and i will be making a call to them monday morning to verify with them....and in hopes of eliminating any confusion

What times and places are you thinking of meeting on Wednesday?

For now, I will take the following:

2 Peppermint Shrimp
12 Cerith Snails
12 Nassarius Vibex
?? Golden Astrea

Who wants to split some Golden Astrea with me? I'd like to do 30 if someone would like to do 70 or something close to that... I'm not stuck on 30.

Also, FWIW everyone, we don't have to hit any specific numbers. The more we get, the cheaper they are. What I mean is that since CJ ordered 50, the price of Nassarius Vibex are now $0.72 for everyone... and when we hit the next discount, they'll go down again. Same thing for all of the others.

That being said, I may add more to my order later as things become cheaper.

Brandon I would like to go in with you but I only want about 30 also. If someone else would go in it would be great. Which would be best the small or med. blue leg hermits? I would like the 24 small or the 12 med which ever anyone thinks is best for a 55 and a 12 nano! thanks!

ummm ....ME! .....but im sure others will join in as well.....we ended up buy 2 lots of astreas last time and im sure it'll happen again....price is too good to turn down


and about the blue legs, get the small ones...cheaper and approximate the same size that you see in the LFS

I would go with the small over medium, just remember they are snail killers! They massacre most of my snails....

I bought two Sally Lightfoot years ago only one survived within the first few days. But it is HUGE now! I got it through reeftopia. It's a eating machine, steals algae sheets from the fish and hogs the whole thing...lol...Here's what I want for my order:

Star Snail 12@ $2.00/ea. $30
Peppermint Shrimp 4@ $4.00/ea. $16
Nassarius Vibex 50@ $36.00 $36
Virgin Nerite 20@ $30 $30

Total $112 then after our 10% should be around $100.80

Unless we get the lot prices for the Peppermint Shrimp, I DO hope they would last a bit longer this time. Last time my 2 shrimp lasted for 2 days....

Hermit, Micro Blueleg (150 @ .22 Each) I would suggest these they are the true lawnmower I remember when I had a real bad hair algae problem and stuck a bag of them in and it was fun to watch them go to it. Yes they will grow and need new homes and they will take the snails out if there are no other homes laying around so if you have dead snails rinse them out and put them back into the tank

One thing I will suggest too as just a suggestion as I have been part of a lot of group orders and they are a lot of work when you have a lot of people in them as these get to be. I would suggest to everyone as a matter of etiquette when you price things just round up and if you want change bring the exact change. I know this may seam simple but sometimes the simple things have to be said. I know if my bill was 118.80 I would just give him 120 for the trouble of doing the order. If you want to only pat 118.80 Bring exactly that. This stops form delay and any hard feelings.

This is just my 2 cents so take it with a grain of salt.

Basically I am in for a lot of whatever to help everyone out on lot pricing in the end. Not really picky on what kind of critters as my 2 buds tanks are in bad shape all the way around from aptasia to hair alage .
I also want a royal gramma and a sailfin blenny for me and the black cap basslet if it comes avaliable. And the red duster cluster
I think the drive is worth it to hit all the lot prices on a order this size and I totally agree with Wayne... A huge group order is a PITA and rounding up a few bucks is totally appropriate.

Not goi g to be in on this one. Waiting on getting the new tank up and running. So maybe the mid dec one would be great i should be through cycling by then. And i will really need a clean up crew i dont think the one in my nano will do for a 30 gallon.

Virgin have variety of colored shells and smaller I think. I had both and they looked different. The regular ones look almost like miniature turbos almost..... I liked the Virgin Nerites, that's what I ordered last time.

I think people started talking about the cent part and saying to round it up after I put my cents in. I'm not trying to nitpick, but I really don't care if I have to round it up or not. Last time when I got a couple doa I didn't even bother to pickup the extra dollar or so. As John would remember.

Michael I hope you didn't think my comment was directed at any one person as it was not I just remembered how it had been in the past when I was part of a few buys I didn't even know that it had been talked about at some other time I know you don't care about cents as you are a generous person.

And if a person has the exact change they are more then welcomed to pay it. I just don't think we should show up and have a bill of 118.48 and expect 1.52 back. But if a person just got one crab for 1.25 I wouldn't expect him to round up to 5. I know this sounds like common sense to most but it is not always. It is like tipping your barber I think it is common sense for me that if the bill is 9.50 that you give them at least $10. But enough on that.

Oh, I didn't even read anything into your post Mikey.... Totally flew over my head you mentioned something ( now I need to go re read J/K)
But I have been involved in many group buys also and the work of getting them together and dedicating your day to dishing it all out is more than I ever want to head up! I was just agreeing with Wayne on the rounding up in his examples. And it always seemed when I did head up group orders I would naturally charge it then just spend the cash when folks paid... SO I was always hurting at the end of the month when it was due! The last big SWF.com order I footed where almost everyones stuff was DOA I just footed the bill on the DOA since the credit was gonna be in my name and that was just a PITA big time since the next order had alot of losses also and I had to order so much to get kinda free shippin.
So a buck or two per order in "handeling" for the hours of work organizing it and "shipping" charge for the guy meeting you at the critter in his car or wherever is a nice thing to do for the organizer. And will help offset the finance charges he has on his Credit card if he somehow gets lured into the critter from the gamma beam it emits to reefers with cash in there pockets in the parking lot! Sooo been there! Happened last month to me.

So lets get this thread back on topic!!
When the time comes PM me or call me and I will do what I can to help folks hit the next level of discounts. My freinds are in for about $25 each and I am in for at least $75-100 to stock the big tanks cleaning crew. I am gonna pass on any hermits since I will have no hair alage and like keeping my snails So don't count me in on them in big numbers, a few for my GF's hairy tank maybe but thats it.
I am doing a big # of peps so we will get the best price on them. I have a few wild tulips and aptasia hiding in my frags I kept so I am getting at least 10 if not more!
And at least 4 sally light foots
And at least 4 emeralds...

Whoever is heading it up just holler at me that weekend.
