SPS fell into clam and clams clamps down. What to do? I am mostly concerned about the clam.

Those clams clamp down friekin hard. when i was in tahiti i put my finger into one. . . ououch. it was worse than slaming my finger into a door, barely got it out.

I have been advised in another forum to let it be and it will eventually release it or blow it out with water. I have the clam situated so that when it does open gravity should let it fall. I am hoping the mantle is not damaged.

Don't you feed that clam?? I would also think that the clam will let the acropora go. Good idea to place it so if the clam opens up that the acro will fall out.

I don't know what it is but the shape made me buy it. Was $20 from the LFS.
