tommorow i'm picking up some supplies to start a 10g nano softie tank. i know, i shouldn't start with a small tank, but i don't have a option until i start my 180g(a ways off) so i'm gonna do it. i won't keep fish, and i'll be using a powerhead with a sponge, and a HOB filter as a fuge. i hope this setup works:) i will be doing water changes every 4-5 days to replenish trace elements and such.

once it's up i will take pictures. wish me luck :p

Congratulations. That 180g will probably come sooner than you plan ;)

What lighting do you have planned for the tank?

eh...don't sweat it. I started with a 10 gal and little knowledge on SW, but after some long hours reading and getting a refractometer it's been no problem after that. A weekly water change and some decent lights and your softies will love you. Make it interesting and put a chromis or a firefish in there...or even a small clown.
Good luck.

i plan on using fluerescent while the tank ccles, but i'm gonna switch to PC lights as soon as possible. i alsi think i'm not gonna do a skimmer, simply cause the tank is so small. i will however be able to upgrade to a 4-5g refugium
