Janie, either color is fine -- but the bigger the polyps the better. The Xenia was doing great until I moved it to a new location to get it out of the strong current. It flopped down some and now is looking sickly after having to be rescued from the attentions of my new pistol shrimp.
Joel, nothing spectacular -- I had two pairs of kribs. When one paired up, they took over 4-1/2' of a 6' long tank and chanced about 50 fish into the other 1-1/2' (including two large geo. juruparis and 6 medium sized clown loaches). It was really cool to see them take 40 fry for a "walk" around the tank. I ended up donating about 20 or 30 of that first batch to Aquarium. And I had a 10G tank at work that went on about 5 years with multiple generations of neo. brichardis -- until the "cleaning crew incident" killed all in one evening. I had 18 from that first batch donated to Fish N Skins, but after that I let survival of the fittest reign. I have raised other fish from eggs (such as various gouramis and austalian rainbowfish), but those were the only two cichilds I've had.
