I have a sailfin tang with ich, and been treating it with cupramine in a QT for over 2 weeks. And, it still has ich. But the tang is eating like a hog. Where can I get the CP, to try it? This is a small QT tank (10G), so, I don't need a lot of CP.

Mr guppy. I used old copper sulfate citric acid and I think it's stronger no buffer or chelating agent and I guess just got to these butterfly's. The cp I got from aquarium store in long island. Took from his kilo container. So I got from someone else. And don't know answer given that it's is hard to obtain the really good pure crystalline form and there oare tons of threads you can read about certain types not working.

Well the question is the airbubbles do something or is it about the skimmer skimming cause you could always keep it low just for the oxygen

When I treated in my FOWLR DT, I kept it low for 10 days with lights off then turned lights on and skimmer full, it didn't seem to make any difference. I am still trying to get the CP out of my system after six weeks, have used Carbon and did a 90 percent water change but it's still knocking my snails around after I put them back in.

Well I'm glad it's in hospital tank? You don't think skimming degrades it?

There isn't much standard protocall with cp. I'm going to call Kevin at divers den and ask about skimmers.

how much CP do you have on hand? i was thinking of getting some but i do not know what quantity to ask for

About 50 grams. Got from fish store.

wow, it is highly regulated here, i have to pay a vet to get me a prescription and then pay the overpriced amount to the pharmacy to potentially get some!
