Oh No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

???

Why would the waranty on the tank be voided by what stand I use?
Anyways, I think oceanic and aga are the same now? Keeping both names but same everything.

So you are saying salt creep can occur within a few hours? How long would you say that it will take for all the water to evaporate from that crack of the trim?

I have my water change scheduled for tonight but I'd almost like to wait to see if it continues.

Do you think it's a defect? Should I contact the store that I bought it?

Any suggestions on positively eliminating the fact that it is water?

How can I tell if that is the case and not a leak?

would the leak jepordize the stability of the tank? I have 2 small kids and don't want them around it if it's dangerous!

Let it go, don't put your hands in the tank, If it becomes more than that after a week or so, then you might have a leak. If nothing more shows up it was what was in there from running down the glass.

First thing for you, Calm down before you hurt your self. When the water ran down the glass the first time it could have filled the space between the trim and the glass. The tank might not be 100% perfectly level and could be rolling down to 1 point and when you wipe the salt creep away it allows the rest of the water that's trapped to evap. I don't think that the tank is going to just burst open and flood your kids. (I'll feel bad if that happens now that I said that) Give it sometime. I've got salt creep like that all over my lower trim, due to my hands in my tank all the time.

I think if ya had even a small leak - especially at the botom- you would have allot more than just salt creep. There would be definate water loss (other than evap) or a noticable puddle. All it takes is a tiny amount of water (a few drops) caught in the trim to show salt creep as it drys. I think you can rest easy.
