oh so cloudy

just added some live sand to my display tank and refugium. my water is so cloudy you can't see the fish. anyone know how long this problem will persist? any remedies?

Turn aff all pumps and power heads for a couple hours...

Couple hours to a couple days. I wouldn't shut all the pumps off. I would leave the skimmer going and the main return...
