I could have gotten the better tickets, but my wife said $450...Ummm No!! lol Tickets go on sale Monday the 10th good luck :)

Come to the State Fair dude. I got ground seats for RUSH. Aerosmith is also performing.

Waters is a sick Bassist I just wish he stayed with the band back in the 80's. He left the band before I was born so I didn't even have a chance to see them together...lol.

I can't believe the price of concert tickets nowadays.

Luckily I saw Floyd back when $230 went a LOT farther.
I believe the Who at Rich Stadium was $11 per ticket. I'll have to go find the stub.

Who's in Roger's band on this 'Wall' tour?

I also have my pair for section 101 row 9 seats 21 and 22. I got the email from rogerwaters.com right after I bought the tickets using the 97 rock pre-sale.

I'm super excited for this one. Now only if Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones would tour again.....

Well.. Guess if i get my next paycheck (friday)... And they're not sold out, I'm going for a P2 Ticket for myself :) The Wall Live was one of my all-time most favorite albums by Pink Floyd... ...

Not sure Gary,I have to dig deeper to find some info..the tour opens in Toronto a month before the Buffalo date..I'm sure allot more will come out after Toronto..If it was anything like the "Wall" production in 1990..I will be really happy..

tickets for any "super band" are insane now a days lol..I seen Genesis(another favorite of mine) a couple years ago,the night cost me $550.00 with diner and stuff lol..

I am not as old as you gary :fun2: but I also long for the days back in the late 70's-80's when concerts were that price lol but being so young it still cost me about a week of work for a show :)Things have not really changed so much for me I guess lol

personal rant

personal rant

the state of rock is lamentable right now.

Roger Waters doing a "wall tour" in 2010? Gimme a break.

Stagnation in the genre is becoming rock's downfall. (I'm a big Floyd fan and I'm not singling that band out.)

Rush should be ashamed of themselves if they don't play Buffalo or somewhere else in western New York.

Jeff Beck is playing in Rochester soon and the price of tix aren't insane.
See Jeff Beck ;)

say what you will..the Genesis show was worth every penny :)As for people that love Fleetwood Mac,Bruce Springsteen and many others that are giving it a go again ..I'd admit it isn't always all original members and sometimes they need allot of back-up mushines..But most bands know with the internet age, they can not throw a horrible show together and let their name draw people..

Now Jeff Beck is awesome and his style is jazz/blues room shows, where people sit at tables and watch fine music..there is a place like that..But I think we are talking apples/oranges here :)

Oh how I miss the days when my exgirlfriends father would win concert tickets to EVERYTHING. It was pretty much his second job entering (and winning) contests, and I always got to see shows for free. I liked him more than her.

tell me about the Genesis show.

They pushed Daryl Steurmer (sp?) on the radio promo.
The tour didn't include Phil Collins, did it?

(Forgive me... I listen to country music nowadays :))

sure :) one of my favorite subjects :)

Buffalo was the second date of the North American tour leg..They were fresh and the stage show was awesome(most of it was built for stadium venues, thats what they play in Europe most of the time)very popular there..

The tour was called..Turn It on Again and the members were original Genesis members from the mid 70's on..excluding Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett..

this tour had original three Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford plus at the end of the show they named Daryl Stuermer(guitar/bass) and Chester Thompson(drummer) official Genesis members even though they have both played with the since the mid 70's..was a nice touch..At the end of the tour Phil announced he was retiring from music ..

The set list for this tour reached back to 1973 and all the years in between, they played songs most Genesis fans thought they would never here the band play live again..

1."Duke's Intro"
2."Turn It on Again"
3."No Son of Mine"
4."Land of Confusion"
5."In The Cage" / "The Cinema Show" / "Duke's Travels"
6."Afterglow"
7."Hold on My Heart"
8."Home By the Sea" / "Second Home By the Sea"
9."Follow You, Follow Me"
10."Firth of Fifth"
11."I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)" / "Stagnation" / "I Know What I Like" (Reprise)
12."Mama"
13."Ripples"
14."Throwing It All Away"
15."Domino"
16."Conversations with Two Stools" (Drum Duet)*
17."Los Endos"
18."Tonight, Tonight, Tonight"
19."Invisible Touch"
20."I Can't Dance"
21."The Carpet Crawlers"

here is a link to some youtube stuff from the tour, this is a show in Italy from a dvd called "When In Rome"

my regrets having missed this show- even though it appears "retro rock".
'Trick of the Tail' was my fav Genesis album.

I find it difficult to believe that Phil Collins is "retiring from music" but I wish him the best.

hehe I get into those videos and it's hard to stop watching..I see what you mean by retro rock..but unlike many other retro bands,Genesis had no back up musians..The same people through the years finished in style..

Trick is one of my favorites as well..You should look up a tribute band called The Musical Box,They play Genesis tours down to the original instruments,pa,slides and costumes..They are out of Montreal and unlike every other "cover band" these guys have talent and are sanctioned by Genesis and Peter Gabriel..Right now,for the past year or so they have been doing the 1976 Trick of The Tail tour..These guys are good..I have a video of the original show, these guys have it to a science..

They also do the Lamb tour and Selling England by The Pound tour to the tee
