Thanks Steve!

Yeah Ben...things got a little crazy. I hate to be a tease but I do want to build a proper frozen food feeder and I think it can be done.

Note to Self:

It is indeed strange that although the content changes, I seem to be learning the same lessons over and over.

--> Back when I was a baby I learned not to stick my finger in the pile of salt I just made, and stick it in my eye.

--> When I was a pre-teen, I learned not to get shampoo on my hands and then rub my eyes.

--> When I was a teenager, I learned not to siphon from a gas tank that has a mixture of aeronautical fuel and toluene.

--> When I was in my twenties I learned not to get wasabe in my nose.

--> When I was in my thirties, I learned not to get hot sauce on my hands and touch my face.

--> And now in my forties, I just learned not to apply Tiger Balm and then go to the bathroom.

Long time until my wife told me to wash myself. I said, "You've got to be kidding" and she responded, "Do you want to be up all night?"

It is water soluble.

ROTFLMAO...almost as bad as cutting chillies then going to the bathroom! :eek1:

try it with some habaneros and tell me tiger balm's worse!

2 funny chilli stories:

I was working in a restaurant and a guy doing some prep work managed to spill a whole can of jalapeno juice down the front of his pants! You've never seen someone move so fast to the back door to shove a hose down his pants...capsaicin is fat soluble. :D

A couple of years ago one of the teachers where my wife works was setting a fine example by stealing my wifes lunch from the fridge and she couldn't figure out who it was. I took a bunch of dried birdseye chillies, saoked them in water, reduced it down to a syrup, injected it into a fruit cup and sealed the hole.

The offender as usual hoed into her lunch. Unfortunately my wife wasn't there but heard that after a couple bites she was having trouble catching her breath, histamine reaction, and turned bright red! Hasn't had a problem with her lunch disappearing since!

Steve, nothing yet. Still waiting to hear back from my atty.

I knew I liked you for a reason barry...sounds like something I would do! :D

My tank ORP is acting strange the last two nights dropping drastically to below 250 with no apparent reason. I checked this morning around 5:30 am, a point where ORP should be at its highest. It was at 246 but everything was operating as it should. Tank water was crystal clear, skimmer running fine, no visible issue at all. And it is still getting up to where it should be during the day.

I really cannot figure it out. I don't see anything dying and fouling the water, and even so, that wouldn't happen on two consecutive nights. I wonder if there is some sort of spawning going on, but I don't see anything of the kind.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

probably something fouling the water, maybe skimmate getting back in the the water column at night, also check your probe

Not the skimmate. I thought about the probe but it is showing normal during the day. Maybe it's fouled so I'll take a lok t it, but I wouldn't expect the varience if it is fouled.

Right now I am getting alarm emails every 15 minutes that the ORP is below 290 (my set point) and it is currently at 246. That's extremely low for my system.

When I get home I'll screw around with the probes. I still haven't been able to get the conductivity probe to work in about a year. I eve bought a new one an dit doesn't work right either. Curt and I went through this for a while figuring it was getting plated, but we could never get it right.

With the coraline growth I get this is always a concern, but the probes always look good.

I recently starting getting lower readings on my acII, so I soaked all the probes in vinegar overnight, then calibrated the probes and it corrected the problem.

Anyone know how to calibrate their probe? My ORP on my ozone is always in the 400's. I'm thinking it's my probe.

And of course, I just broke my ORP Probe.

Elliott, you bastard! Every time I try to fix something, I render it useless.

in preparation for the PSAS meeting this month, I am actually breaking something every day. I have orders coming in from 5 different suppliers right now. :(
