OK! Enough chat...Starting a 1000g+ Reef

You have a great piece to work with there, so I have no doubt once you get familiar with it you can mod it to really kick butt. Lots of ways to get good skimmate! :D

Jonathan,

Are you still using / satisfied with the aquamedic 'combs' on your overflow ?

Absolutely. I love those things. I cannot imagine how it would be without them.

Funny thing is guys, if I were to do a real split, I would end up in the hospital.

Don't laugh, I seriously considered that already. (well, I was still not very recovered from the brain injury)

I am working on a new tank design, but we are still a long way out.

What's your excuse now?

Well...start a new thread with the new design so we can mock you in 2 places! :D

no way. no fantasy threads for me. when the tank is being built, I will start compiling pics and once I am ready for the swap, I may start a new thread. Interesting issue though, since the tank is very likely to be a duplicate of my current one.

YOU NEED TO BE CRITIQUED BEFORE YOU START THE BUiLD.

By then it'll be too late to correct your screw ups.
