I don't feed mine anything. I've never been a fan of characterizing lighting by watt per gallon because it does't describe anything about the light a creature has.
I kept mine about all over the place under 250W halides. I've seen them prosper under powercompacts, though they were kept with 10" of the surface. They are a calcifying creature so you want to get your CA and alk under line if you want them to grow. Low-Medium/Low flow rate is the best, high flows cause them to retract. They seem to tolerate almost 0 flow from experience, as well as moderte flow.
The only difficulty I've ever had with this coral is touching them. I've killed sections byaccident from falling or dropping them while moving, the base columns are delicate.
