ok Liana stop holding out where are the pictures?

I fixed the title of your thread, Ray. Liana gets upset if you add an extra "n" to her name, I think she'd stab you with an Acro for lian.

Okay, first off, I'd never waste an acro on Ray. ;)

2ndly, here we go. :) Story of my new tank!!!

So...way back when I first made the mistake of entering into this ridiculously costly hobby where not only would I be the only one under the age of 25, but the only GIRL...I set up a 72 gallon system. :) It started to come along quite nicely I think...

I made my beginner mistakes, learned how NOT to set up a reef tank...and then my dad proposed the idea of moving the tank to the brand new basement, where I could have lots of space. Plus, the current tank location was causing the floor to crack. So Then, I got that disease...the one where you really want to upgrade and get a bigger tank even though you dont need to. So...we bough a 120, and started making holes in the wall. :)

Then, my dad got ahold of PVC...legos for grownups. I got ahold of a credit card, and ordered new toys. We started to plumb. :)

We even put in a sink!

Then came the real adventure...breaking down the tank.

Then we had to bring the sand and rock downstairs, rearrange the rock, and refill. The aquascaping was the hardest part.

Much credit to this project's success goes to the two clowns in the above picture. ;)

When the rockwork was tolerable, all the water was pumped back in, and the salinity and temperature was altered to match that of the qt tank with the livestock upstairs. This would be when we had our pizza party. Hey, we needed something to do while the cloudiness skimmed out.

The first sign of life in the new tank:

We also had a lot of clean up to do.

Eventually, the plumbing was finished and the water was clear enough for the animals to be plopped in.

There is still a lot of work to be done, my fuge needs to be plumbed, and my fish room is in need of some major organization. The old set up needs to be sold, and the RO/DI, auto top off, and kalk reactor need to be set up. But we're well on our way, and i'm pretty satisfied. :)

A special thanks goes out to Ray, Joe, Andy, Larry, and Ed for their recent contributions to this project. :) Oh, and to Daddy, if you're reading this too. :D

Hey Liana, glad to see my tank is being put to good use. Im sure it will give you many years of expense...I mean enjoyment. :)

This is my first post in a while here but have been lurking waiting for my old equipment to show up.

Looks great!
