2 pallets About 1,000 lbs of base rock I'm going to be breaking up and sculpting and working with to make my aquascape. I'm thinking about 3 islands with lots of opened space. Will be using acrylic rods and pvc with pond foam and cement to make sculptures. Chiseling rocks to make shelves. Should be fun. Going to start with dead clean rock this time around.

Although originally I was going with 6 radions. I decided to go with (2) ATI sunpower 8x54watt fixtures. I own and have been texting the radion pros for 7 months already and although I like the color the growth is not what I'm used to and the color on t5 to me are a bit better. So keeping radions on my smaller tank and going t5 with led supplementation on this big tank. I found one now in the looks for another ATI 8x54 of anyone out there has one available.

Looking for suggestions on a pump. I was thinking Reeflo hammerhead. Anything out there anyone recommends ? I will be installing an apex also btw so wold prefer some kind of controllability through the apex.

Hey thanks for the feedback. I was looking into the vectra l1 but doesn't sound quite enough for my system. I'm going to have about 450 gallons of water and seem to have only 3100 gph and although I like the controllability of it I kinda don't see the point in having that kind of controllable pump as a main pump. I see a big use for it as a closed loop but as a main pump I kinda find it useless unless I'm overlooking something. In which case please correct me if I'm wrong. Still getting used to all the new stuff that has come out.

Excellent choice on lights!!! Return pump I use reefflo as well but recognize the advantages of DC if that's what you want. I've never had a need to adjust return pump flow.

Regarding automatic water changes come by. I'll show you mine. You need to see before finalizing plumbing. You know where I live. . Dr T and I have big thread on how to do it.

If its in the living area I would look at 2 smaller dc pumps. I replaced my hammerhead with 2 vectra. Saved a little on power and they are silent compared to reeflo.

Thanks Eddie. And YESSSS. For sure I need to take you up on that offer before I eve start plumbing I need a field trip to your house. Definitely incorporating that in there. Still collecting equipment: pm me your number pleaseeeee: not sure I still have it. And I'm gonna just end up going with a Reeflo hammerhead I'm picking up from a local reefer.

Looking good! Glad to see your back in the game. Aidan and I just got back in too. Aidan and I were just talking talking about when you chopped up that scoly with the wet band saw at a meeting probably like 8 years ago and he won it in the raffle.

Wow awesome! I just put together a 180 and it is so easy to go over budget. But the setup you have is worth it. Looking GREAT! Good luck.
