OK To Put Zoa's At Base Of Leather?

I have a Tyree toadstool on a small rock and would like to put zoas at the base to fill in around it. Is this okay to do or a bad idea?

Thanks,

Yes, no problem. Palys may be different, but I've had Bambams and Rastas against my leathers no problem

Great thanks d-man! I have a paly I would like to try there as well. I'll give it a shot and see how they all do together.

Wouldn't the leather eventually shade the polyps?

This is true. I have them placed on a bridge between two rock structures with the leathers at the back and zoas/paly at the front, so hopefully they'll move over the front and the leathers will grow backwards towards the light. Light is situated directly over all of them. Only time will tell but mos def a good observation.

They're all gonna grow towards the light, the zoas are going to spread out like circles from where they start. I'm not a fan of gluing corals next to each other since they sting each other, leathers have been known to have some chemical warfare with nearby corals and in some cases having one get stung by zoas daily could mess up the water quality if the leather releases toxins.

I have done this with no issues. depend no the zoos and leather though.
like organism said they will grow towrds the light.
