anyone know of a online retailer that has these in stock. they seem to forever be on backorder. im not really one to be put on a list as i usually buy on impulse...:smokin:

Likely that isn't an option. On rare occasion a dealer gets a couple above there backorders but in general your best bet is a waiting list.

I made my decision to buy my 6000 (with controller) and then had it in my hands all within a week. I went through a Canadian on-line supplier, which carries the 6100s. Don't know the rules for giving out retailer's names on RC, so PM if you want the name and url.

ROAB, I just ordered two 6200's from Jason at Premium Aquatics. He hunted them down for me when they became available.

They're going into my new 375 I'm setting up. Yea, lots of flow is what I was looking for.

i finally tracked down a place that has the 6100 in stock. got it through www.toofishy.com
its ridiculous how unavailable these pumps are and the fact people have cash waiting in hand willing to pay $300+ for a powerhead only to be placed on a waiting list.
just glad i finally got them.
tunze needs to act up and catch up w/ the demand.
if it werent for the fact that they're the only one that produces these high flowing powerheads i would've gone w/ the alternative....fact is, although $$$, these pumps kick ***

Let me know how they do in your tank. I may still yet buy a couple of the lower end units to suplement the large ones I purchased already.
