OKC Area

My husband and I are going to be coming to the OKC area next weekend and we were wondering if anyone in from that area had any good ideas about places to go for entertainment. We don't want to go to the movies or anything like that, but would like to go out to eat and then maybe somewhere with live entertainment? We know our way around OKC but usually we have our kids with us and so we don't do anything adult! LOL We are going to make time to go by Aquariums and maybe WetPet in Norman. Well, thanks for your help.

Wow - it so sounded at first like you were looking for recommendations for adult entertainment venues..... Thank you for clarifying, and the laugh..

And sorry, no helpful advice from me...

Bricktown is always fun... I dont really like the "club" thing myself, but eating wise, I liked Toby Keith's Bar and Grill... plus I got a free meal for being a veteran! :-) *L* find out what is going on at the Ford Center and try to get tickets to whatever is going on! There is always something going on at the Ford! :-)

I agree with Dustin on Bricktown, other than Toby Keith's place (sorry Dustin, didn't like it). I like Crabtown, a BBQ place and a Mexican place I cannot remember the names of. Never been when it's been this cold so don't know what's going on there.

When it's warm, there is usually something going on around the streets. Might check out the Ford Center, Bombing memorial, take the boat ride, and my carpet sharks like Bass Pro for some reason.

I actually have a story to tell about Toby's, but I will not put it on here... it has to do with Toby there, and meeting with a political power of oklahoma... yeah well, we will just say toby wasnt that friendly to the "people" there... from what i hear

Bricktown, Chilenos for mexican, Zios for italian or Spaggetia warehouse are our favs and there are new ones open since we were there last. Hefner Lake has some good ones as well with lake views and music. Have fun, Pamela

Abuelos for Mexican, IMO. I loved it. Zio's, of course, is always good. But there are several of them and you may have been before.

I would say it's a tad chilly for the canal ride. The Ford Center and the Cox Center do both usually have something good going on.

Bricktown is usually where people go. I met Kobe Bryant at Hooters. He's enormous. And we were absolutely, under no circumstances allowed to take pictures of him. I think they would have tackled us if we had. And no autographs either. This is pre-affair. He ordered chicken strips, but didn't really eat them. I'm full of pointless info.

You could see what games are being played. Who's playing where. As far as live entertainment, which is always fun, you'll probably just have to google it and find a website for what all's going on. Have fun!!

catch a Blazers Hockey game! I went to one years ago and it was a blast. Hmmm, maybe I should go again. I just hate parking down there, short stubby legs.....

Thanks everyone! I just made reservations to The Looney Bin, everyone in our party is really excited about it. Now we just need to find a hotel and a nice place to eat! LOL

Kim

Out on North West Expressway there are lots of hotels(thats by the Looney Bin) it's a nice La Quinta!

On Reno, Trappers has some great food selections, Quail drummies, Prim Rib (we think it's the best in town).
Then across the street a little, adult entertainment, Night Trips (one of the higher end strip clubs in town).

If thats not your bag.
We like city walk in Bricktown it has 6-7 clubs under one roof Techno(best lights in town), country(nice club), 80s(little, but cool), cigarbar, rock club, Piano bar, it's like 7 bucks they have a dress code so no ball hats , no sneekers, and don't remember I think no jeans.
