Olasana Lagoon: High Energy SPS Nano Build Thread

Thanks guys, it looks pretty crappy aesthetically, I'm hopeful for growth filling things out and making it more pleasing. I may splurge on another colony/mari or two in the future as well.

Welcome to the 0 live rock club. Looks good, have been following this thread for awhile and now it got even more interesting.

Watch out Chris or people will start complaining about your photography skills along with your reef keeping skills.

Vitz...how come you post here and not at home?

This is chris's nano blog thread, not a 'let's stick our uninvited noses into vitz's business' thread :)

Made a couple drastic changes yesterday. No more live rock, took it out. Mammoth might have an aneurism now. I was beginning to suspect it came from an old system that had been broken down. I also removed the fluval box filter. It was difficult to clean and had become a detritus trap. My pH drop last night was much smaller than it normally has been for the last few weeks, and I feel comfortable attributing it to that.

So what was the problem with the rock?

I love your thread. I just upgraded to a 250w 14k Phoenix over my 29g Biocube be oust the 150 Phoenix just wasn't enough.

I'm adding some LEDs to the mix as well to get more spectrum and light spread.

I'll be following your progress. Thanks for sharing.

Hi kids, quick update vid. I just did this while drinking the morning cup of joe, no special maintenance (not even front glass). The tank has had no UV or mechanical filtration since my last post, just skimmer and GAC. It's do for a water change/vacuum, but I'll let you be the judge of how things are doing.
