Old algae on Rocks question (pictures)

I have a question about some new rock im gonna be using in my new setup.
I got it from someone else and it had all types of bubble algae, hair algae, snot looking algae... everything you could think of. So I took it all out back, bleached it, then let it sit in a vinegar bath for 3 days, then let it sit out in the sun for the last 3 weeks. There is still some remaining "skeleton" from the old algaes, do I need to worry about these at all?

Heres the picture:

Will this algae come back?

I think you should be okay but your bound to get some kinda nasty algea regardless of what you do just comes with the hobby wether it be bad water chemistry or introducing it withh new additions so to me when you kill everything off alot of times it seems like it just gives the bad algae alot more place to get ahold of faster then if you have some life on it.

Yea I get what your saying. Im just especially worried about this rock because it was the most disgusting thing ive ever seen when I picked it up from the guy. It had oozing snot like algae everywhere. And that is not something I want to deal with in my new tank.

I don't think that any algae could survive the various treatments you've given the rock, but just to be sure, you could boil the rock for a half hour and render it completely sterile.

Ok good, thanks for the reassurance. I was just worried because I broke off one of those skeleton things and it still smelled absolutely rancid. I wasnt sure what to think about that.
