I actually had a good experience at Fish Planet a few weeks ago. The owner Steve was more than curtious to me. I was shopping for some freshwater corys and he suggested Rabauti's. They are doing well in my tank. I thought their selection was great. A little pricey on some things. Overall, tanks and fish looked great, both salt and fresh water.

DO NOT GET YOUR TANK SERVICED BY THESE GUYS!! THEY SCRATCH THE TANK AND REFUSE TO FIX IT!! AND THEY OVER CHARGE!!
I was getting my fish tank cleaned by Matt (one of their service technicians) and he scratched my tank. When I sent an email to Alan (the owner) he pretty much told me that it was my fault that it was scratched because I used my magnetic cleaner on the glass ( NOT ACRYLIC). I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW HE CAN TELL ME IT WAS MY FAULT WHEN I USE THE SAME MAGNETIC CLEANER ON THE WHOLE TANK AND ONLY THE BOW FRONT WAS SCRATCHED. Matt the technician scratched the tank with one of his cleaning utensils and they will not fix it, so now I am stuck with 3 big scratches in the front of my 80 gallon aquarium.
Plus this Matt guy over charges you too!! He was at my house for 65 minutes and he tried charging me an hour and half to clean a tank with 3 pieces of coral and rocks in it after he spent 15 minutes petting my dog. When I have to pay $85 an hour for these guys to come out, that's a lot

If I could go negative on the rating scale I would. This is the worst place to go to for any business. The manager is a POS and thinks he knows it all, the staff are young cocky kids that think they can solve any problem in a tank, yet do not know anything that will aid in the tanks growth. I have had many problems with them, I have been there twice and will never go again. The reason I went there a second time was to fix the sick fish I bought from them the first. Don't think you will ever get a refund with these insignificant children. They are rude and will blame you for the problems in your tank. These people need to learn a thing or two about service. There's no place for this comment, Removed~dc
I hate this man and would like in all my power to shut this store down. If you read this and go to them a buy any item, you deserve the problems and lack of service you will get from them. In all do not think about going to this aquarium, that's all I can say.

adam, it's not a matter or question of not being nice to you. When i bought ro/di water from them, i took it home and tested it. Came out .135ppm of dissolved substance. So in essence they sell tap water as ro/di. The fact they had absolutely no regard for the fact had i used that water and not tested it, i could have suffered major losses and long term! I plan on reporting them to the ftc.

For the record, you can scratch the glass with a mag float, sand gets underneath. Still a bad store.
Well if Old Orchard was a reputable store wouldn't be a problem but it is stores like Old Orchard Aquarium that spoil it for everybody. I know my friend told me to not go there but I didn't listen and found out the hard way.
