Thank you. The tank went through more of a cycle than I hoped and I'm not sure exactly what happened but I had a very serious algae bloom and the rocks and sand were just a mess. I assume nitrates were high as well but I never bothered doing any actual tests, I just took action with 3 phosban reactors loaded with Rowaphos. Added in some better sand sifters, fixed the low alk ( I let that slip while I was distracted with the PO4) and things are now rebounding slow but sure. Now if I could just keep my yellow & purple tangs from nipping acro polyps things would be even better.Originally posted by volcom69
I must have missed your po4 problem, what happend do you know how high it got. Did you have a nitrate problem then also, what is your nitrates at just curious. I say whatever you did worked the colors are looking great.
Thanks Steve, their main diet has been fish waste & light. I am quite happy with the way things have turned out with my MH & T5 lighting combo. Best of both worlds and even still get that MH shimmer. I like it and I'll assume the corals do too.Originally posted by Jar*Head
Wow man, what did you feed them corals? They look super healthy and colorful

Glad to hear you caught all that stuff and turned it around. Switching tanks can be a little hairy at first.
I got that a couple of years ago as a little 1" frag from a friend and I haven't actually id'd it yet. Any thoughts? The camera doesn't pick it up but it has pink tips. One of my faves.Originally posted by klondike4001
What's the purple stag in the middle?
