Olympus Evolt E500

I have done some searching on the internet and have found the camera I want, but am reluctant to purchase as I am still not conviced of its capabilities.

Olympus 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 Zuiko EZ Zoom Lens
Olympus 40-150mm f/3.5-4.5 Zuiko EZ Zoom Lens

The only thing that is stearing me away is the lack of lenses. It seems that Olympus has only a few to choose from. I did see that Sigma offers the three/four lens mount with other lenses to choose from.

Other than being able to use the LCD to shoot my pictures (viewfinder only). Should this stear me away from this camera.

Its comparable to the Canon 350D (XT), from all the reviews I have seen.

Anyone have pics from this camera of their tanks, or any close ups?

Thanks a bunch..

I just picked up this kit on sale for boxing day. (i'm new to dslr's) but there is a learning curve to taking pics but so far out of about 200 shots i can keep about 15 or so of them and that they are way better than my point and shoot camera.

As my friend has told me it is a good camera to learn with and if you find out later on that you are not really into this kind of photography then you will not lose much on investmenting into it, as opposed to buying a more expensive one in the begining.

after doing some readings on reviews and such in the end there are supporters and bashers (kinda like the whole ps3 vs xbox 360)

i will post some picks when i get home from work today.
