OM Squirt w/ Revolutions

Does anyone have this system in place? I'm deciding wether to get these or (4) Nanostreams plus a wavemaker for my water circulation. The cost is about the same.

If you have the OM Squirt with Revs, please chime in specially if you have an acrylic tank. I'm thinking of installing the revs on the acrylic eurobracing but I'm not sure if this is a good idea.

I'm not sure you're suppose to use a wavemaker with the nanostreams. I think you can cycle them like every 5 minutes or something, unless you get the 6055.

i believe the recommendation for nano 6025 and 6045 are 30 min interval. That's what mine is set at.

Thanks for the heads-up Xia. If the nanostreams can't be run by wavemakers, I might pass on these and get the OM Squirt with Revs. (2-4) 6055 plus a Tunze controller is just out of the budget.

are you sure it's the squirt? I would have guessed that Pam has an OceanMotion 4 way or bigger. The squirts are only designed to handle 1000gph or less.

BTW - Arlan (Undergrad) used ot have one on his 55G. You might want to PM him as well. I have (or had) the OM 4way. It's currently sitting out in my gargae collecting dust - along with my Sequence Dart.

I'm actually not sure. I knew she had an ocean motion something or other with revolutions and an acrylic tank. I'm not too familar with their product line.

I'm surprised you're not using the 4-way. Anything about it that you did not like?

I won't be doing a closed loop. I just want a random water flow for a semi-BB tank. The OM Squirt with (4) Revs seems like a good idea.
