So I look in my tank today.... And find babies!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!

I'm stunned. I have two Neogonodactylus wennerae in the tank, they get along fine. One is about 1 1/4inches long, the other is a touch over two. So now I'm positive they are boy/girl.

Anything special I should do? Last nite(pre-baby discovery) I cleaned about 50% of the alegea off the sides of the tank. I'm assuming this is what they are eating now.

Those aren't mantis shrimp, they are some form on 'pod'.
The look like the little mysis or copepods that swarm a few of my mantis tanks.
They are beneficla, btw, so don't try and remove them.

And yes, they go into a feeding frenzy when you scrape algae.

Best tank moment last week: I sprinkled a few bits of marine flake in my G. tern's tank, to see if anything in there would eat it. A pod grabbed a flake and was swimming around in circles on the tank wall, chased by 3 or 4 other hungry pods. It looked like a game of 'keep away' played with a sheet of 4'x8' plywood.

Do you know of any place that shows baby mantis photos?

I'm not sure how they got into my tank...... Or why... LOL. I havn't added any new rock in over a month(and a bunch of it was in my other tank 3montsh prior). I used sterile sand.... I guess as they get bigger we'll see what happens.
