On Tunze Skimmers....

Hi Roger, I have a 75G with a ecosystem-type refugium and I'm considering adding a touch of skimming. i have been running for 3 years without a skimmer, but some recent algae problems are irritating me. I'm not sure a skimmer will help, but I know that TUNZE products are the best in general. Which skimmer of yours would you suggest? I have no floor space under the aquarium, one big attraction to the tunze devices it that [I think] I can mount it on the top of the refugium. Thanks

Also, to what depth does the 220 need to be submerged?

220/3 has been discontinued. In a couple months it will be replaced by 9205 DOC Skimmer Classic. It is very similar but even smaller. It needs to be submerged 3".

How will this skimmer differ from the 220/3? And what will the dimensions of the skimmer be? Can I mount it on top of a refugium?

It will mount the same and basially work the same, the skimmer cup is shorter (1/2 the height) and wider. It is black and has a blue adjustment screw.
