Once an aggressive wrasse, always an aggressive wrasse????

I have the wrasse pictured below. IMHO, he's beautiful. I have a female of the same species in my display. He has been moved to a 40 breeder with an old pair of maroons. He was moved for killing a red headed fairy wrasse that was almost as big as him. I also have a blue flasher wrasse and a long fin fairy wrasse. My question is, should I risk putting him back in the display with the other wrasses, or is he doomed to live in purgatory?

once a killer wrasse always a killer wrasse

my case in point, i was given a lunnar wrasse by my lfs that was brought back for killing small fish, he spent a year at the lfs then he came to me, he went into a "bad boys" tank which consisted of
huge sailfin tang, large clown trigger, medium niger trigger, large asfure angel and a pair of tomato clowns, all was well for almost a year then in a 2 week time fram he killed my niger trigger and my clown trigger, he is now and will always be a sump fish

You have an aggressive species. Existing causes them to get worse.

Isn't that sweet? I guess he's doomed to a life in purgatory. I thought I was researching my fish list pretty well. I guess I was wrong.

It is very difficult to pick out the ultra bad behaviored fairy wrasses unless you run into them. Another one is C. Rosefascia

Can you suggest a colorful fairy or flasher that would/should get along with a long fin fairy wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rubriventralis), a blue flasher (Paracheilinus lineopunctatus), and the female blue headed fairy (Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura)? The cyanopleura will be moving to purgatory with her man before long.

I am very partial to all of the Paracheilinus species. Assuming, of course, you move the female to "purgatory" I am also partial to C. bathyphilus or C. rhomboidalis
