So I'v had a porcelain crab for about 2 weeks, he disappeared into the rocks for awhile, then I saw him yesterday with only one big claw.I thought to myself did he always have one claw. Now tonight I saw him with no claws and right above him I see my cleaner shrimp with the claw tearing the meat out of it.
I didnt know cleaner shrimp really attack other things

They probably didn't remove the claw from the crab. He probably lost it from some other cause and the shrimp was eating it.

A lot of porcelain crabs will drop their claw to avoid a preditor. The porcelain crab probably thought of some thing being a threat in your tank, insted of fighting it dropped its claws. I agree with broomsticks and doubt the shrimp tore its claw off. Mine have never done that, it is just some thing I read about.

LMAO!! That is hilarious! I could just picture a cartoon with a porcelin crab walking along minding his own buisness, and then something jumps out from behind a rock and spooks him, then he drops both of his claws and runs in fear! Haha priceless!
