One last question or two

We are filling up our tanks, as I write, with fresh RODI water and will add the salt when we order. Is the rock still "in season" or should we wait a while. Secondly, we have a 210 display, a 65 for sedentary fish and some flora, a 20 gallon for algae and a 100 gallon custom sump in a dedicated fish room. I want to err on the side of a display with lots of caves, bommies and on one side an open area. Would an order of the "package" of 250 be fine or what would you suggest. Can't believe the day is almost here after MANY MANY unavoidable personal roadblocks.

Thanks in advance.

Get you water mixed, and let it flow a few days, as newly mixedsaltwater is chemically 'hot' and needs to stabilize before use......when you have it flowing for a week or so, then you are ready to fly!

Rock is ready...always down here.....one of the benefits of living in the hot....water is still 76 degrees down here.....and air is 85 here today....

Lets go with the 250 Package, should be plenty sufficient for your application!

Let me know when you are ready to fly on the order form under the comments area...at

and if you want to catch some of those marlin...

come on down to the island after your tank is cycled

Thanks for the reply, salt was added to the water change cans a few days ago and a hell of a lot of salt was added last night to the displays. A week will work out perfect as we have a few concerts coming this weekend. Can't wait.

Ok sounds good, on big tanks like yours I like to send all the live sand first.....as it will cycle the tank quickly in about a week, then we can add the first 250 pounds of rock, then in about another week, the rest of the rock and the critters....

Amazing, was shipped out this morning from Tampa and walla, it arrived at 5PM. Extremely well packed and super easy to manipulate. Kinda felt sorry for the 2" blenny that hitched a ride since the first six boxes were sand only. A testament to how well TBS does their packaging. I will be keeping an extra eye on him through this process to insure he makes it as our first fish.:spin2:

Good job......there was a lot of flight delays yesterday due to the weather, but in my experience Southwest is the best hands down in moving freight all over the US.

Blenny?.......they are usually very quick and swim out of the net I use to scoop the sand, he must have still be asleep yesterday...they come in inside the rock when I harvest it....never see them until after the rock goes into my holding tanks...and then the little guys are running all over the system...
LOL

Water is clear and "Sandy" as the wife calls the blenny, is in its temporary PVC tee home until the rock gets installed. Amazing amount of critters that are coming out of the sand. I'll post some pics when all gets going along.
