well i said i was done w/ anemones but i found one i like that i haven't tried keeping. It's an lta. I've lost 2 bubbles to powerheads and got rid of a carpet that was like a gill net in my 30g tank. we'll see how this goes. any advice on them would be great

How deep is your sandbed?

How long had it been in your tank? In the first picture it looks like its mouth is protruding a bit. If it was just added to your tank I wouldn't be super concerned, but would keep an eye on it.

And make sure that your powerheads are still covered, LTAs can/will float around while settling in, and get sucked into it.

my sand bed is about 3 or 4 inches deep, It was added about 10 min. before the pic, whats the petruded lip a sign of, what do i watch for w/ a lta? It looks healthy, it wouldn't take a direct feeding but i didnt really expect it to on the first day, but all my others had. Apreciate any info

Hard to tell how big the LTA is, but that should be a deep enough sandbed -- though if you want to push some more around it, that wouldn't hurt.

As for the mouth, that is a sign of stress, and perhaps an infection. However since yours is so new I wouldn't worry about it just yet, though keep an eye on it.

As for the feeding, I wouldn't expect it to take anything just yet. In fact I wouldn't even bother trying until the weekend.

In my experiences LTAs take a bit longer to settle in, but if they make it past the first month, they are really hardy.

i'd say the lta is about 6 inches across. as far as getting infected, what do anemones get infected w/ what would be other signs of infection just in case. To me he looks healthy, his tentacles all stand and his color is pretty, Hopefully its just him getting used to the tank. He hasn't moved none over night, thats the first anemone i've had that didn't move the first night. Is that good, if he likes his place he will stay right.

MOVE THAT FUNGIA asap ! sorry for shouting but they have highly toxic mucus and can damage your anemone. Keep that fungia far away from other corals, give it at least 6 inches of clearence.

Oh and btw your anemone looks healthy, puckered mouth is normal upon acclimation, it might also flush itself, shring and expand several times in the next few days, also normal. No anemone is hardy, all are delicate so provide it the best conditions you can.
Your fungia looks to be in rough shape, hard to tell but it looks to have almost no tissue or extremely retracted. Just keep them apart also if your not presently running activated charcoal I would advise it to remove any toxins their contact has created.

the fungia is just a skeleton, i died along time ago from my stuipid gobies burying it. i just think the skeleton looks neat. i put it near the anemone so that is my clowns lay eggs that they might lay them on there and i would be able to remove them from the tank easily. Thanks though.

My clown fish were trying to host an open brain that was in the corner of the tank. I swapped the brain and the lta's places and so now the lta is in the corner, will he like it there, i put little rocks by his foot and the sand is a little deeper in that corner. he stayed there over night but i turned my powerheads off in case he moved. my clowns were ticked, they wouldn't go to sleep because the lta was in their spot. Why won't they just host it. THey are TR but still if they slept against a brain why won't they an anemone

hosting is hit or miss. IDK if there are any reasons why some do/some don't

Also, I've heard silversides are better than Mysis
