one more and I am finished!

Hoping everyone would help me out. I finally have all but one of the fish on my fish list. They are all getting along well. The last fish that I want to add must be somewhat aggresive and be able to hold his own. I currently have a mapp puffer, dragon wrasse, emp angel, harl tusk, and a damsel. I really like the hawk fish, but I think the arc eye is kinda boring and the flame is too small. What would you recommend?

I have a black tip grouper that I like a lot. It used to be very shy, but is out a lot. Has cool eyes. They can get 16 inches or so in the wild. I've had mine a while and it has stayed around 8 inches. Not sure if it will reach 16 or not.

Here's an image from the web: http://www.camerasunderwater.info/gallery/Mike_Deaton/Blacktip-Grouper.jpg

There are also many species of hawkfish, some of which are really cool looking. I don't think arc eye hawks are boring, I've seen some very colorful ones.

If you have room, consider the giant hawkfish:

I don't know how big it is, or how readily available, but there is also a golden hawkfish:

Another fish to consider is a cool eel. I have a Brazilian Dragon moray. They don't get over 30 inches. Most of your fish, with the possible exception of the damsel, should be okay with it. They are subtly beautiful fish, and out a lot for an eel.

that golden hawk is awesome, don't think I have ever seen one of those. Haven't thought of a tang-they seem so docile. My tusk gets harrassed a bit, and I was under the impression he could hold his own-Marc

Some tangs are docile, but a sohal or clown tang would own your whole tank probably within a few days. Purple tangs are pretty aggressive, but not as bad as a sohal.

i'm a huge fan of either the achilles or naso tangs...unfortunately the other half has already got us to tang capacity with our powder brown, purple, djardini, kole and scopas! that djardini is a butt kicker!

what about a trigger? what would be the most docile? My dragon wrasse is kind of an A hole, it would be nice if someone kept him in check.

I have a large pink tail trigger. He is not aggressive, but holds his own very well. He's with a dogface puffer, the blacktip grouper, and two morays (zebra and Brazilian dragon).

Mimic tangs are really beautiful, IMO, not aggressive, but plenty assertive. For your sized tank, a naso would be really nice as well.

IMO - I would add a nice sized Male Naso (blonde or other). They can hold their own and are absolutely stunning.

I think your situation is one of the few in which adding a sohal might actually make sense: 300 gallons, reasonably aggressive tankmates, and able to add it last. They are right for very few tanks, but could work in yours. Pretty amazing fish, IMO.
