One more 'favorite' to go....

I consider myself very luck this past weekend. I purchased two of my 3 most favorite and 'dream list' fish at an unbelievable price. Fish I never expected to purchase as they typically carry a very high price tag.
I picked up a beautiful Helfrichi firefish for $60 from a good friend who was taking down his small reef tank to focus on his 380 FOWLR. Thanks Larry!!!
Just this past Saturday, I picked up a beautiful Mystery wrasse from one of our best LFS in town, FishWorld. The fish was on sale at $99! Thanks Jeff!
Both are doing very well and displaying the most amazing pastel coloration!
I'll try to post some pics later today. I'm as giddy as a school boy on Christmas morning!
Now all that's left is a small/medium black tang and I can die a happy man ;)

They had a few in 104 this week, you should be seeing them soon.
They're not cheap though , but c'mon, you got 2 really good deals, now ya can afford the last one;)

wow, now all you have to do is set asside the money that you saved with those two purchases, and you can have a head start at buying that tang.

So I take it you bought the small one that was in the tank with the blue dot Jawfish? He just came in.... Wanted to give him a chance to get settled. ARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!! Oh well maybe they will get more in. :-)

Nice score man! I love Helfrichi firefish however aren't they supposed to be housed in "cooler" tanks? I heard that since they're collected from such lower depths, that they are more used to the cold?

I take it that you also have a black tang? We need pics of your fish!! :D

Naw, just because they are deep water doesn't mean they must be kept in cold water. Mystery wrasses are also deep water.

I hope your tank is well covered. I got my last dream fish (already have a small black tang and mystery wrasse), a golden rhomboid wrasse a couple of weeks ago at a stunning price.

I had covers over both sides, and it made it through the first night. The second evening, my mystery wrasse still chasing it, it managed to get out of a tiny opening between the eggcrate and the overflow. :( It was by far the saddest fish loss I've ever had.

Both the firefish and the mystery can jump. Make sure you're completely covered.

You have great taste in fish btw. ;)
