One or two Vortechs

I will be setting up a 20 gallon high (24x12) reef soon and would like to know if two MP10s would be better than one. Obviously one MP10 has enough power to provide all the flow for my tank, but I'm afraid that having all of the flow coming from one spot will not be good for the corals. The only thing holding me back form getting two MP10s is the price and I would obviously much rather only have to buy one. I will be starting with LPS corals and slowly working into SPS

One should be enough! That's expensive for two! Plus with all the variation you can do on a pump (different modes PLUS intensities) you'll be able to change it up enough... Plus, with the magnet attachment, you can always move the pump easily every 2 months if you really wanted to. I have two vortechs, but the tank is like 5 ft long....

Moving the pump is such a great idea! I didn't even think to do that, so I am for sure going to stick with just one. I'll hook it up to my Apex so I can change the flow frequently. Thanks for the help Mike :)

Vortechs really are not impressive until you have at least 2 of them and You program them in the EcoSmart mode, where they will automatically work as a team
