One spot foxface help

I have had my one spot foxface for about 2 months and now this week he swims around for a couple minutes then just lays over on his side for about 20minutes he still eats good but is really acting weird. No fast breathing seems a bit fast but not rapid.

Did you have him quarantined before you added to the DT? And is there any sign of aggression in the tank? ...what are its tank mates..

1- yellow eye tang
1- coral beauty
1- yellow tail blue damsel
1- snowflake eel

There was a picasso trigger in there but he has been out for a week. No aggression at all in the tank

My Magnificent won't lie on the sand, but will stay in the same spot in full camo for quite a while. Sometimes in the rockwork, sometimes against the back glass, sometimes out in the open.

Foxfaces are weird...

His diet is green algea sheets, and a blend of mysis and a herbivore blendx2 a day.

mine hides from time to time and acts like that, but it's usually if one of the bigger fish are chasing it about. your's may be more in a regular agitated state, particularly with that color pattern shown. I read you say no aggression so there's not much to go on, but it could be one of the fish is a perceived thread.

anything you changed in the last few weeks?? lighting schedule? change to brighter lights..etc..I've seen fish behave crazy when suddenly exposed to brighter lights without proper acclimating.

There was a Picasso trigger that was aggressive and was removed the trigger was in there for a week and has been out for about a week. He did start acting funny the day the trigger was taken out.

He does seem to do it a bit less. Just really worried about him. Thanks for all the help.

Hmmm... We're they buddies in the tank? I had a blue tang that was good buddy with my Blenny... They were always out together all the time..but one day myblenny got sick & when I moved him to qt ..my tang was so lost! He never wanted to come out for a week after he searched for his buddy for two days!

Thanks for the help everyone. Today he has been out swimming like he should be. So hopefully he will stay this way
